Safe Roads Challenge is an app that encourages safe driving habits and rewards you for doing so!

Privacy

At Safe Roads Challenge, we know how important privacy is. Your personal information is kept private and secure. Data relating to driving, like your speed or handling, are instantly anonymized. Our goal is to improve community driving while maintaining your privacy.

Battery & Data Usage

Each time you are inside a vehicle in motion, the app will record this Trip, running solely in the background of your phone to reduce the following:

• Battery Power - very minimal to operate so you shouldn't notice any substantial battery drainage from using our app. In rare cases, we have found that older models of both Androids and iPhones can be the exception to this rule.
• Data - very little because it is running in the background and does not have to be open to record your Trips. You should aim to process and score your Trip once you are connected to wifi to avoid using cellular data.

Settings

For Safe Roads Challenge to record your Trips and provide you with the highest quality scoring information, you must have your location services set to Always Allow, your Motion and Fitness set to On, and the low power mode/battery optimization set to Off. 

Trips & Rewards

Once the Trip has ended and processing has been completed, you can collect the Trip by choosing if you were the Driver or Passenger.

You will then have the ability to collect rewards for that Trip provided that your score is 67 and above. You can collect XP, contest entries, Pins and gift cards for completing successful Quests!

Check your scores to see your weekly, monthly and all time averages to see where you can improve your driving skills.

To receive a copy of your data, you can download your information right from the app whenever you’d like. Follow these steps to receive your data:

• Tap the Settings icon (top right).
• Select App Settings & Privacy.
• Tap Download Your Information.
