Managing Teams

When you join the Safe Roads Challenge app, you’ll automatically be placed on your first team. By default, this will be your State (U.S.), Province (CAN), or County (UK). You can view the prizes available to you in the Team Portal!

Team codes are invite-only and are distributed by employers, organizations, schools, and other groups that partner with Safe Roads Challenge.

If we host a new competition, you may see opportunities to join new teams in our newsletter or within the app!

How to Join a Team

Through Settings:

1. Tap the settings icon in the top-right corner of the app
2. Tap the Team Activation tile
3. Enter your team code

Through the Teams tab:

1. Navigate to the Teams tab in the app
2. Tap Manage Teams
3. Enter your team code

When you're part of a team, your scores contribute to and affect your team's overall score. Aim for high individual scores to help your team climb the leaderboard. 

To switch between different teams:

Tap the Challenge selector dropdown and choose the Challenge you want to view. This will update the leaderboard and show the challenges associated with that team.

To apply leaderboard filters:

You can also apply filters to view different leaderboard options.

Tap the filter button on the leaderboard page. You can explore rankings at every level of your Challenge, from overall standings to specific teams and individual users. You can also apply a Skill filter to view standings based on specific driving skills.

How to Leave a Team

1. Tap Manage Teams
2. Tap the three dots next to the team
3. Select Remove Team
4. Confirm by tapping Yes when prompted
